Qigong with Dan Breakwell

We’re thrilled to announce that Dan Breakwell will be joining our team from January with a six week Qigong course.  Qigong is an energy cultivation practice – Qi (pronounced “Chi”) means vital energy and Gong means to cultivate.

Originating from Chinese Medicine, Qigong practice involves slow, gentle and repetitive movements. These warm tendons, ligaments, and muscles, tonify vital organs and connective tissue and promote circulation of body fluids (blood, synovial, lymph).

The smooth and gentle nature of Qigong also helps to support the central nervous system by activating the parasympathetic state (rest and digest), aiding in our ability to mentally and physically recover from the daily stress and stimuli of the fast paces world around us, and its effects over our general wellbeing.

Join Dan for a six week course to learn the fundamentals of Qigong and develop a sustainable and life-long practice. All abilities are welcome, and chair based forms and practices are available for those who are less mobile or are dealing with chronic health issues that might impede strength and energy levels.

Please just notify the reception team when you join if this is the case and they will email Dan directly with more information.
