Update: This work has now been completed in the main. However, the locker delivery was delayed and is now expected on 30th April.
On Tuesday 28th April, an independent company conducted a slip test on the tiles, following a few comments from members that the new tiles appeared to be slippery. The main standard pendulum test measures slip potential to check compliance, and should score no lower than 36 to ensure a safe level of resistance. This test was carried out under a variety of conditions, from dry to waterlogged. Under each condition, the tiles scored above 40, confirming that they exceed the industry compliance level for slipperiness. Consequently, the temporary matting will be removed from the changing room floor, but please continue to take care when adjusting to these new tiles. As before, we encourage members to wear indoor flip flops or sliders when using the wet side changing rooms. If you have any questions, comments or feedback about this, please contact Andy Powell, Club Manager, at clubmanager@jagssportsclub.co.uk.
Over the Easter holidays, the female changing room by the pool will be upgraded to include new lockers and changing cubicles.
The work will start on Monday 23rd March and will take four weeks.
During this period, men are kindly invited to change on the poolside, using the poolside cubicles, whilst women can use the men’s changing room.
Signage will be in place in due course, but please do ask a member of the team if you require anymore information.
