Qigong is an energy cultivation practice. Qi (pronounced “Chi”) means vital energy and Gong means to cultivate. Originating from Chinese Medicine, Qigong practice involves slow, gentle and repetitive movements. These warm tendons, ligaments, and muscles, tonify vital organs and connective tissue and promote circulation of body fluids (blood, synovial, lymph).
The Foundation level offers the basics for a sustainable and life-long practice. All abilities are welcome, and chair based forms and practices are available for those who are less mobile or are dealing with chronic health issues that might impede strength and energy levels.

Restorative yoga combines deep breathing with mindful transitions between postures, designed to release tension, build flexibility and enrich our focus on the present. It is a great way to prepare the mind for imaginative play, creating a space for ideas, words, feelings to emerge. Creative writing is a wonderful outlet for those ideas. Whether drawing from real life or expanding our imaginations into pure fiction, it activates parts of the brain that modern life all too rarely reaches, very akin to the daydreaming that was natural to us as children.
Suitable for beginners or enthusiasts, this workshop will start with an hour’s session of mindful flow, followed by storytelling exercises, with time for brainstorming and finishing with breathwork and a flow sequence to align intention and inspiration. Bring a notebook and your favourite pen/s.
Veronica combines a lifetime of yoga with a life’s work as a professional writer into her embodied creative practice.
