Mari is a Dance Artist when she’s not teaching Pilates and this May, is collaborating with Dulwich Festival on a community dance piece, which will feature at the Festival in 2026.

Created and performed by 40 adults, the choreography for Unfolding reflects on hope as a form of strength and on togetherness as a tender, embodied act of resistance. In a time shaped by conflict and tension, the work centres the power of bodies choosing to gather, to support, and to move forward together. The movement language evokes preparing the ground: listening, rooting, reaching, and slowly rising.

This project invites community members aged 18+ to take part as volunteer performers. Participants should be in good general health and feel comfortable engaging in physical movement outdoors.  It is free to take part.

You should also be able to attend all the rehearsals and the final performance date at Dulwich Picture Gallery.*

• Rehearsals will take place at 9.30am-12pm in alternating locations, on the following dates:
  JAGS Sports Club: 19th April, 26th April, 10th May
  Dulwich Picture Gallery in the Meadow outside: 3rd May
• The Final Performance will take place in the Meadow at Dulwich Picture Gallery: 17th May at 11.30-11.45AM and repeated at 12.30-12.45PM.

The unit will be installed w/c 13th April and works will be finished by Friday 17th April.  Although the Club is operating Holiday Hours during this week, the Main Gym will be closed from 8am to 6pm to allow the work to take place.  However, members will be able to access the gym at 6.30-8am and 6-10pm during this period, and the FW Gym will also be available.

During this period, men are kindly invited to change on the poolside, using the poolside cubicles, whilst women can use the men’s changing room.

Formally, members could use the vouchers to redeem any coffee but now the vouchers can only be used in the month specified to redeem a filter coffee or slushie.  As notified, previous vouchers are no longer valid.

This voucher scheme has only been in place in recent years, and is not intrinsic to membership at JAGS Sports Club; it is a benefit to members, and the Club reserves the right to amend and update this at any time according to company needs.  In this case, the change was necessary to improve the efficiency of the cafe.

Thank you to vast majority of members who have taken note of this change and have continued to enjoy this benefit.  Shockingly, there have been a few instances whereby cafe and reception teams have had to endure significant rudeness and bullying behaviour as a result of this update.  This is not acceptable and we reserve the right to cancel membership immediately if club values of kindness and respect are not upheld.
